With the launch of Windows Phone 7, The Globe and Mail wanted to extend their brand to the new Windows Phone 7 platform. RedBit Development was able to deliver a solution built on top of RedBit’s News Aggregation Platform to help The Globe and Mail deliver their award winning news publications to the Windows Phone 7 platform.
Project Description
The Globe and Mail is familiar with the mobile market and had existing software on various mobile platforms in the marketplace. With the launch of Windows Phone 7, The Globe and Mail wanted to extend their brand and award winning media content to the Windows Phone 7 platform. With no internal teams, they decided to turn to
RedBit to help deliver their content to Windows Phone users.
Successfully delivering various projects on Windows Phone 7 and being familiar with the platform, The Globe and Mail chose RedBit Development to deliver the award winning content to users of Windows Phone 7. With requirements in hand, RedBit came up with a design that would give maximum exposure to The Globe and Mail brand and content while delivering a consistent user experience familiar with Windows Phone 7.
With a short timeline in hand, RedBit used their News Aggregation Platform to store and display the various articles and sections available from The Globe and Mail publication. RedBit was successfully able to deliver the software in time for the North American launch of Windows Phone 7.
