Windows Mobile Developer Boot Camp (1 day ‘Intense’ Course)

You are a .NET Developer using Visual Studio and are tasked with extending your software to the Windows Mobile platform. You have never written a Windows Mobile application so where do you start?

The Windows Mobile Developer Boot-Camp is a 1 day intense course where we will go through what you need to get started, all the tools that are available within Visual Studio, the tools available with the Windows Mobile SDK, where to put your data, .NET Compact Framework, communicating with your corporate infrastructure, tips and tricks to make your applications perform and various other tools to you as a developer. The hands on labs will also allow you to try things throughout the day.

After this one day course, you’ll have everything you need to get started with developing for Windows Mobile.

Windows Mobile Developer Fundamentals (4 day Course)

This 4 day hands on course is geared towards .NET developers and architects to get the experience required to develop software for Windows Mobile using .NET Compact Framework. This course will give the developers knowledge required through hands on labs to extend their software to the Windows Mobile platform and avoid the usual pitfalls when first developing for Windows Mobile.

This course will cover developing Windows Mobile applications using Visual Studio and .NET Compact Framework 3.5 from, Windows Mobile SDK and how it can be leveraged within your software, how to write your software to support different Windows Mobile Devices, deployment strategies, integrating with SQL Server, supporting offline and online scenarios, location awareness, inking support, custom controls plus more. This course will also go through memory considerations when developing for Windows Mobile and the memory architecture of Windows Mobile platform.

By the end of this course you will have the knowledge and skills to effectively build software for Windows Mobile.
