C# ASP.NET Backend Developer

We are looking for a C# ASP.NET developer role who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of software development.

You will work as part of RedBit’s backend team building out REST APIs using either ASP.NET MVC 4.x or ASP.NET Core. You will work in conjunction with front end developers building out web applications or mobile apps for iOS and Android.

You will be bridging that gap between design and technical implementation and help bring customer projects to life. You will use the latest .NET technologies to integrate with legacy applications or be using the latest and greatest .NET technologies and build completely new systems!

• Detail oriented – cutting corners won’t work

• Highly Analytical – you need to be able to dissect product features and what tasks need to be done to complete a feature
• Organized – we sometimes have tight deadlines and organization helps so you are not overwhelmed

• Develop entire new API systems from scratch, with help of RedBit team
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of designs created by design team
• Collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and customers

Proficient understanding of:

• C#
• Visual Studio and debugging within Visual Studio
• Object Oriented Programming
• GIT – branch, merge, pull etc. – you will work off feature branches
• NET MVC
• REST APIs
• Software design patterns
• Use of Microsoft Azure for deployment

Good understanding of:

• NET MVC/Core
• Microsoft Azure
• PaaS
• IaaS
• What’s happening in the .NET World

Basic understanding of:

• Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)
• App Insights

Bonus if you know the following:

• HockeyApp, Visual Studio Mobile Center, Xamarin Test Cloud &
• Build Automation using VSTS
• Up to date on latest web markup standards (even if not officially a standard yet)
• Xamarin
• Visual Studio Code
