Xamarin Mobile App Devs

Your role

We are looking for a Xamarin Mobile Developer role how is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of software development.

You will work with the RedBit’s design team to translate user experience designs, visual designs, and motion designs into actual code that works natively across iOS, Android & Windows.

You will be bridging that gap between design and technical implementation and help bring designs to life. You will use the latest .NET technologies to share code across the three major platforms. If you have never shared code using Xamarin don’t worry, RedBit is an official Xamarin Training Partner and we can train you!

We don’t just want you to implement designs, but we want feedback, if it doesn’t look or feel right we want that feedback! Before it goes out to customers we want to make sure it’s something we would want to use!

Your responsibilities

  • Staying up to date with mobile trends, technologies, iOS/Android/Windows SDKs
  • Appreciation for Agile approach for building software
  • Detail oriented – cutting corners won’t work
  • Having fun – if you stop having fun writing code, we are doing something wrong
  • Highly Analytical – you need to be able to dissect product features and what tasks need to be done to complete a feature
  • Organized – we sometimes have tight deadlines and organization helps so you are not overwhelmed
  • Enjoy challenges – some things will be hard and may never been done before
  • Develop new user-facing features and entire native mobile apps from scratch
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of designs created by design team
  • Collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and customers
  • Participate in scrum meetings and help in task estimates

Requirements

Proficient understanding of:

  • C#
  • Visual Studio and debugging within Visual Studio
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • GIT – branch, merge, pull etc. – you will work off feature branches
  • Consuming REST APIs
  • MVVM Design Patterns
  • HockeyApp, Xamarin Test Cloud & Build Automation
  • Up to date on latest web markup standards (even if not officially a standard yet)
  • NET MVC
  • NET Web API Xamarin Studio
  • Visual Studio Code

Good understanding of:

  • iOS SDKs
  • Android SDKs
  • Windows SDKs
  • What’s happening in the .NET World

Basic understanding of:

  • Apple Apps Store, Google Play Store
  • Xamarin
  • Xamarin Forms
